Tidbits and News Bits (November 17, 2006)

It's really a sandwich of 2 duo core cpu's. 2 times 2 equals, yep, 4.
Intel just released their 4 core processor, the new standard of power even if the software is still having a Very Hard Time taking advantage of it.
Linux Magazine had a couple of interesting articles in their October issue.
One Titled "The Need For Speed." And the other called: The Coming of CORES, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
It turns out that writing software for these multi-core processors is (number of cores, here) TIMES as hard.
Nothing is easy.
